The Wizard of Oz

This year's pantomime is The Wizard of Oz, presented by the Winchcombe Players.

We're off to see the Wizard, the Wonderful Wizard of Oz.....join Dorothy and her faithful pet dog, Toto as they head to Oz and meet a world of exciting characters, all searching for a dream and hoping the Wizard can help it come true.

This brand new show, based on the much loved story by L. Frank Baum, featues all the favourites from Oz. The cowardly lion will team up with the scatty Scarecrow and the uptight Tin Man to follow the yellow brick road to the Emerald City. Can they help Dorothy as she aims to stop the Wicked Witch of the West taking over Oz for good?

And there are some new characters for this bright and glittery show including two eccentric pantomime dames, some cool but kind princes and a mysterious farmer whose life in the wonderful world of Oz is about to change forever.

With our brilliant band providing live music throughout, more songs than ever before, lots of chances to join in with boos, hisses and cheers plus not one but two appearances from the Winchcombe meteorite, this is a panto that will brighten any winter's day.

We're holding our prices so this year's panto is £16 per adult and £10 per child. Same price as 2026, brand new show.

There are six evening shows of The Wizard of Oz, with performances on Saturday January 23, Sunday January 24, Tuesday January 26, Wednesday January 27, Friday January 29 and Saaturday January 30. All evening shows start at 7.30pm with doors and bar open at 6.45pm.

Plus, for 2027, there are two matinees on Saturday January 23 and Saturday January 30, both starting at 2.30pm with doors and bar open at 1.45pm.

It's time to follow the yellow brick road.....
