This October half term we are inviting you to be part of something special .... our new music adventure series for primary school children.
One of our missions at Isbourne Arts is to provide opportunities for young people to access and participate in the arts. That's why we've created a programme of events over the coming year offering engaging, hands-on opportunities to experience music and drama.
First, we're teaming up with Gloucestershire Music on Friday 30 October to give youngsters a chance to experience Djembe drumming. Designed for 4-11 year olds, these sessions will give your children a chance to make music and learn more about the history of this wonderful instrument.
It's important to us and our partner Gloucestershire Music that these sessions are accessible to every family that wants to take part so we are keeping ticket prices low and subsidising sessions through the donation we received from Winchcombe Festival of Music and Arts.
Tickets £4 for each child, but if this cost is a barrier to you attending then please contact info@isbournearts.org to request a free ticket. If you can afford a little more then please also consider 'paying it forward' by adding a donation when purchasing your tickets; this will help us keep the music adventure series accessible to everyone.
Sessions will last 45 minutes and are capped at 20 children. Once a session is fully booked we will add another.
The sessions will be led by an experienced tutor from Gloucestershire Music. Their mission is to provide high quality, accessible and enjoyable musical experiences for children and adults. Their teams are passionate about music education and making a difference to people's lives through the power of music.
The first session starts at 10.30; doors open at 10.15. Parents and carers welcome to stay.
