The Winchcombe Players Present
The Vicar of Dibley
A stage adaptation by Ian Gower and Paul Carpenter
Based on the original BBC TV series
Written by Richard Curtis and Paul Mayhew-Archer
Produced by Tiger Aspect Productions
It's the mid 1990's and Britpop rules the airwaves. When the new vicar arrives in the sleepy English village of Dibley the last thing the locals are expecting is a woman. But the irrepressibly cheerful Reverend Geraldine Granger soon wins over the hearts and minds of her flock.
All of the familiar characters are here including Mrs Cropley and her interesting cuisine, Jim Trott with his vocal tics, the dippy star-crossed lovers Alice and Hugo, the colonically-challenged farmer Owen and David Horton the pompous parish council chairman.
Not suitable for children under 12 due to some adult content. Tickets £15 in the main auditorium or £16 on the balcony (includes a £1 booking fee added at checkout)
Note that balcony seats are accessed by a very steep and winding staircase and are on church pews.
