A single instrument with a story to tell, one to which we can all relate, recognising our own feelings and emotions; a welcome respite from a troubled world.
Join us for a wonderful collection of music and stories, played and told by Carol Hubel-Allen on a Viola built during J.S. Bach’s lieftime.
With illustrations from the Unaccompanied Suites for Cello, in this case a Viola built during J.S. Bach's life time, we get a glimpse into his inspired use of the various keys and their relationships, making words superfluous.
As a contrast, Carol will talk a little about the viola, the instrument’s peculiarities and its advantages!
Carol’s idea for this programme came about during the Covid years, when live concerts, involving many musicians on the stage became a rarity.
A fundraiser in support of Isbourne Arts Donations on the door, suggested donation £10 per person.
Seating will be cabaret style; doors and bar will open 45 minutes before the performance begins.
