Andrews Massey Duo - Make Merry

Emily Andrews (flutes) and David Massey (guitars) reach down into their tangled musical roots to create their own unique and imaginative instrumental arrangements of traditional Christmas carols and folk songs from all over the British Isles.

Well-loved carols and seasonal songs are recast with influences from country, world music and folk, including the Coventry Carol on haunting solo flute and Silent Night with shimmering high guitar harmonics above the alto flute's gentle lullaby.

Carols will be interspersed with British folk music from the Duo's acclaimed album 'from the roots....new branches', including well loved favourites like Molly Malone, Dance to your Daddy and Bold Grenadier.

Emily and David are two of the CarmenCo Trio who performed their wonderful A Pocket Opera at the Izzy back in April.
